NSK State rebellion

I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.
– Thomas Jefferson

The Atomic Declaration of Dependence

The state is the manifestation of Kitsch. We hereby disassociate ourselves from your coffee-scented dog-breathed manifestations and unilaterally declare the dissolution of ourselves and the elimination of time through the timelessness of Kitsch. We find your bourgeois adoration of time and form repulsive and degenerate. Suborn yourselves to your pathetic creation in time at your own risk. We dissolve ourselves, demolish eternally your structures and leave this hollowness to re-form under new circumstances at the very moment of our creation. Your time is dated. Ours will never come.

Representing Atomic Eternal Light

MPR praises Norway for awarding Nobel to Liu Xiaobo

“Awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to China’s Liu Xiaobo desecrated the prize and could harm China-Norway ties,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu on Friday.

Ma said Liu was a criminal sentenced by the Chinese judicial authorities for violating Chinese law. “What he has done is contrary to the purpose of the Nobel Peace Prize,” he said.

The Wikipedia, on the other hand, defines Liu as a Chinese intellectual, an anti-communist, and a human rights activist widely regarded as political prisoner in China. Liu Xiaobo is the author of Charter 08 (Língbā Xiànzhāng), a manifesto initially signed by over 350 Chinese intellectuals and human rights activists in order to promote political reform and democratisation in the People’s Republic of China. Charter 08 was published on 10 December 2008, on the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since its release, more than 8,100 people inside and outside of China have signed the charter.

As Norway braces for damage to its relations with China for giving the Nobel Peace Prize to human rights activist Liu Xiaobo, the Micronational Professional Registry (MPR) is doing the very opposite. Despite the fact that no Norwegian has ever signed up for membership in the organisation, the MPR has added Norway to its list of recognised sovereign states.

The MPR believes that Norway, and in particular the Norwegian Nobel Committee, has done more than any other country to promote human rights in China, and thus it deserves to lauded, not chided.

“China is in breach of several international agreements to which it is a signatory, as well as of its own provisions concerning political rights. Article 35 of China’s constitution lays down that ‘citizens of the People’s Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and of demonstration’. In practise, these freedoms have proved to be distinctly curtailed for China’s citizens,” the Nobel citation said.

MPR Categories introduced

On 4 October 2010 the Micronational Professional Registry (MPR) introduced MPR Categories.

MPR Categories are categories that are part of a classification system, whose purpose is to organise essential information about individuals.

MPR Categories convey instant information about an individual’s age, race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, relationship status, religion, language, and state/nation in a way that is comprehensive, succinct, non-discriminatory, and visually appealing. An example of an application of MPR Categories can be viewed on the right side of the web page below, underneath the words “MPR Categories”:

The Union of Small Nations

I had read some time ago that the Principality of Seborga was planning to join the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO).

Apparently their application was more than just politely acknowledged, and then in fact ignored, as my appeal was years ago, and for the micronation of TTF-Bucksfan.

The Principality of Seborga seemed like they really had “the foot in the door”, and it was only a question of time, and they would join not the diplomatic equivalent of the Italian Serie A (the United Nations), but at least the diplomatic equivalent of the Italian Serie B (the UNPO).

It did not happen. You can check for yourself also, but Seborga, or the Principality of Seborga, is still not listed at the UNPO members page.

However, even though I’m not involved with this, I do believe that I understand what actually happened, and the UNPO, or some people involved with the UNPO, eventually started an organisation that small nations like the Principality of Seborga could participate in. The n-result seems to be the Union of Small Nations:

http://www.usmallnations.info

It is certainly not for every small nation, as one needs to agree completely with the Charter of the Union of Small Nations, one needs to have excess diplomats, needs to be well-organised, and also needs to pay an annual membership fee of Euros 250.00 (circa USD 333.08). However, it definitely has potential for at least a wonderful ego trip, and perhaps with some real diplomatic gains, at least in the long term.

The Principality of Seborga is listed under the Project Nations list, along with the Principality of New Utopia, the Government of Antarcticland, and the Principality of Sealand, and the Principality of Hutt River is actually listed under the Small Nations section. There is also a section for Governments in Exile, with members like the Kingdom of Tibet, the Union of Burma, the Kingdom of Ethiopia, and the Republic of Somaliland.

As I said, membership is clearly not for every nation or micronation, and membership may, or may not have, long-term privileges.

The PoliNation 2010 micronation conference

Pictures from the PoliNation 2010 micronation conference that was held on Dangar Island, Sydney on 17 April 2010, and billed as “the world’s first-ever conference on micronations”, are now available for viewing, courtesy of George (Georgivs) and his FarDistantShores.com travel and art photography website.

The password for the photo gallery below is “micronation”.

http://www.fardistantshores.com/Micronations/PoliNation-2010-Conference/11876321_H7RkZ

Studying the pictures, I can notice that the number of the people present appear to be surprisingly not much smaller than what I personally experienced at the Third North American Secessionist Convention that was held 14-16 November 2008 in Manchester, New Hampshire. I estimate that the PoliNation 2010 conference attracted at least 40 delegates, academics, and media people, while the Third North American Secessionist Convention attracted some 80 delegates at best.

The differences I see were:

  1. The PoliNation 2010 conference was a one-day thing, and while there was at first a $25 registration fee, in the end the event was entirely sponsored by Macquarie University, one of Australia’s leading research universities. There was also a significant academic present, Dr Judy Lattas, several independent scholars, and Associated Press reporters showed up for the event, and did interviews.
  2. The Third North American Secessionist Convention was really a two-day thing, and while hotel discounts were arranged with the Radisson Hotel Manchester by the Middlebury Institute, the convention was really financed by the attending nations. No academics were present other than Dr Thomas H. Naylor, a retired academic, and the independent scholar Kirkpatrick Sale, Director of the Middlebury Institute. There was also someone from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), but it was clear that he was little more than a graduate student. The Associated Press published an insignificant brief about the convention on the day it was supposed to start, but without actually sending anyone to the convention, and there were no other major media or news organisations present.

In other words, a Fifth World, or micronational event, generated pretty much the same interest as a Fourth World, or macronational event, but the Fifth World event managed to outshine the Fourth World event by attracting significant academic and media attention.

Besides being organised events about communities disaffected with the Official World, the only common thread to these two events was that PoliNation 2010 attracted delegates entirely from the Australian continent, while the Third North American Secessionist Convention attracted delegates entirely from the North American continent. These non-Official World events, in other words, are not likely to attract more than national, or at best, continent-wide attention even under the best of circumstances. This should remind all Fifth Worlders around the world, that the petty and uncivil bickering that often goes on between leaders of different micronations leads to nothing of substance, and certainly to no progress in the micronational, or Fifth and Sixth Worlds.

World’s first Progressive degree awarded by Bryant University

A student graduated on 5 December 2009 from Bryant University. After graduating, he was out of touch for three months.

When he contacted Bryant University again, the Bryant University alumni asked to be awarded a Diplomate’s Degree (DD) in Criminal Justice. As Dr Joe Warner has stated, he could have simply accepted a regular Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice, but choose a new alternative Progressive degree instead.

Well, I have some incredible news. The Mexican state police officer who was awarded the DD in Criminal Justice is the world’s very first student to receive a Progressive degree!

The basic ideas behind the new Progressive degrees had been proposed by the HMRD Cesidio Tallini in a 15 November 2009 article, “A radically new academic proposal“. Ideas like this usually remain on the drawing board, yet Bryant University began to offer Progressive degrees — the Diplomate’s Degree (DD), Professional’s Degree (PD), and Scholar’s Degree (SD) — as early as 24 December 2009. Well, on 15 March 2010 I heard that the first Diplomate’s Degree (DD) had been awarded by Bryant University! It took a mere four months to change the world!!

Perfect Salvation for Dummies

A Turkish assassin claims he can proclaim the “perfect Christianity” that the Vatican has never understood. [1]

People in Malaysia, on the other hand, feel threatened if non-Muslims simply use the word Allah to refer to God, as they in fact do every day in other Malay-speaking countries, and even in Arabic-speaking countries. [2]

The President of Iran, whose family actually has Jewish roots, [3] and which later converted to Islam, claims Iran and Syria can create a new world order “on the basis of justice, humanity and belief in God”. [4]

This same man has also stated in the past that Christianity and Judaism are deviations from the right path, and that these religions hold false claims to mankind’s salvation. According to the President of Iran, Islam is the only religion that can save mankind. [5]

Jesus of Nazareth, on the other hand, said that those who shall witness salvation shall not be known by their unilateral proclamations, by how they call God, or by their specific religious tradition. Jesus stated that the saved and the damned shall be known by their fruits:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit. Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.”

More information about salvation can be found in this book: All Religions Are Cults: And What a Few Good Priests, Monks, Rabbis and Mullahs Can Do About It.
